A Streamlined, Two Trim Lineup
When Chevy launched the Equinox EV last year, it included an alphabet soup of four trims that were somewhat confusing to the general public. When taken together with the two different powertrain options on this model, it made things a little hard for drivers to decide on which model to choose. This can often be a problem with a new model, as motorists have yet to learn the nuances in the trim levels, especially when taken together with the various optional features. For the 2025 Equinox EV, Chevy has simplified matters. Gone are the 2LT, 3LT, 2RS, and 3RS, replaced with the simpler LT and RS. Two Performance Options

The Equinox EV features an 85 kWh lithium-ion battery pack located in its lower frame. This motor delivers 220 hp and 243 lb-ft of torque, with the ability to go from 0-60 mph in just 7.7 seconds.
The dual motor model of the 2025 Equinox EV is significantly faster. This provides all-wheel drive, improving the traction of the model while also allowing it to go from 0-60 mph in just 5.8 seconds. This is because the output of the dual motors is 300 hp and 355 lb-ft of torque. As with all BEVs, the torque is instantaneous as soon as you put your foot on the accelerator. The tradeoff is that the range of the dual motor model of the Equinox EV is 285 miles on a fully charged battery.
The good news for drivers is that both of these figures show that Chevy has given a boost to the output of the 2025 Equinox EV. The single-motor model has improved by 7 hp and 7 lb-ft of torque over the 2024 model, while the dual motor has seen an increase of 12 hp and 22 lb-ft of torque.
Easy Charging Options
Chevy has equipped the 2025 Equinox EV with an 11.5 kW onboard charger. This will let you charge the lithium-ion battery at a public DC fast charging station or at home by plugging it in. This allows you to charge your vehicle at night while you sleep so you will have a fully charged battery for the morning commute.
You can also keep the battery charged while driving. The Equinox EV features Regen on Demand, which converts a portion of the kinetic energy released in your vehicle’s movement into a charge to keep the lithium-ion battery topped up.
